ISITC Europe CIC would like to thank the T+1 Forum secretariat EY for hosting this briefing.

The UK HM Treasury Accelerated Settlement Taskforce has recently published their report on the UK transition to T+1, as global markets around the world move to an accelerated settlements cycle. During this event, we will discuss the two phased approach for the UK 2025 requirements recommended in the report. What it means for market players, and consider the technology capabilities that need embedding ahead of the formal transition, before the end of 2027.

Our keynote speaker Andrew Douglas, Chair of the UK Accelerated Settlement Technical Taskforce, who will provide an update on the technical taskforce activities and highlight upcoming priorities.

We will then be joined by a panel of cross-market practitioners representing both buy and sell-side to discuss the implications of a move to T+1. Including:

• What could likely become UK mandatory operational changes, market standards, and best practice.
• As the US project nears implementation, what should the UK and EU market players be anticipating?
• Are there lessons from the USA T+1 project we can learn from, so that the UK and EU can achieve a successful transition.

Please note that this event will be conducted under the Chatham House rule to ensure a free flowing discussion between the panel and the audience.
