Operational Resilience Forum

 

The use of cloud services is continuing to expand within the Capital Markets and long with this, the inevitable introduction of new regulatory requirements, codes of conduct and standards. Including the new draft regulation from the European Commission on Digital Operational Resilience for the Financial Sector (DORA) DORA aims to consolidate and upgrade existing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) risk management requirements, and is also introducing a new framework for direct oversight of critical ICT service providers by financial regulators in the EU. Where the criteria are met, this would apply to cloud service providers. The FCA has also issued guidance on outsourcing and resilience which will apply to Cloud. The  Forum will examine and discuss regulations, standards or codes of conduct around; data portability, the cybersecurity certification scheme for cloud services. data protection, standardised  Service Level Agreements, performance, resilience and energy-efficiency and sustainability for ESG requirements.

Involvement in the Operational Resilience Forum

The Forum invites participation and discussion between individuals who have an interest in Operational Resilience. Forum meetings are usually held quarterly, with occasional ad hoc meetings when required. The forum will aim to deliver education, communication, and information for the advancement of member firms.

Outcomes from these Forum discussions will only be made available to ISITC EUROPE members.
