ISITC Europe Update

Dear Industry Colleague,

As you saw last week, the IELG and I are working hard to reshape ISITC Europe and deliver value to Members and the industry in general. The Agenda we set out last week has generated a great deal of interest from industry participants and like-minded Industry associations. This has given us a great deal of comfort that the topics are ones which we all have an equitable desire to either learn about more or drive operational and technical coordination in servicing our clients.

When I met with the IELG we discussed the budget for 2016 and beyond. We agreed a budget which would encourage greater industry participation, begin to increase the value of ISITC Europe Membership whilst covering essential expenses to facilitate the workstreams.

I am very pleased to announce that the 2016 Membership fee structure will be a flat fee of GBP 250 (plus VAT).

This flat fee structure results in a reduction of GBP 950 for Vendor Members and GBP 550 for Corporate Members. The Individual fee will rise from GBP 100. We believe that this structure will encourage participation from the wider community including Fintech firms, Standards organisations and Regulatory bodies and observers.

Irrespective of size of Member the fee will cover access to 3 general meetings per year and support the workstreams in 2016.

Secondly, we have been reviewing the membership of the IELG. With the new agenda and the work needed, we are going to have to expand the experience and skills to help drive the change. Marcelo Bertoli (Marketing Director at DTCC) has taken on a larger role at DTCC and will leave the IELG. As I thank Marcelo for his time and wish him good luck for the future, I would also like to welcome his replacement Matt Johnson who is currently Manager for Industry Relations at the DTCC.

I would like to put a call out to the industry for anyone who feels that they have the skills, passion and time to help us lead the new agenda going forward. Specifically leadership and participation in the areas of Standards (current and future) and Blockchain. Please feel free to reach out to me via the below contacts.

As we settle into the Holiday season, we will be defining the workstreams in readiness for 2016. I would like to hear any feedback on the ISITC Europe new agenda and canvass your willingness to participate. We plan to hold our first general meeting in the first quarter of 2016.
