Briefing – Preparing for the changes in Senior Management Regime due in 2018/19

Last year saw significant regulatory change across the financial services industry. In addition to the ongoing Brexit process, the year brought with it implementation of MiFID 2, PSD2 and the fourth anti-money laundering directive. 2018/19 is set to be another bumper year, led by proposals to extend the Senior Management Regime (SMR) to all firms across the financial services industry. Given the increased the focus on individual accountability ISITC Europe, along with the International Compliance Association and The Guildhall Faculty of Business and Law, will be running a briefing for Senior Managers and those affected by these changes on Thursday 31st May from 6.00pm at 84 Moorgate, London EC2M 6SQ.

  • What is “Individual accountability” and what obligations does that imply?
  • What are “Reasonable Steps “and how they can be evidenced.
  • What are “Management Responsibility Maps” including an example of best practice.
