François Barthelemy (France)
François Barthelemy is one of the ISITC Europe Country Ambassadors representing France.
François has more than 30 years of experience in leadership positions in financial services in London and Paris.
Between 2015 and 2018, he founded and managed SETL, a fintech specialised in blockchain market infrastructures. He also set up Iznes, a fund platform sold to a group of French fund managers; and ID2S, a fully regulated CSD operating on blockchain, sold to Orange.
Previously, he advised major financial groups such as Euroclear or OFI AM and headed Primonial AM from 2011 to 2013.
For 8 years, he founded and managed an asset management company in London, which was sold to an institutional fund group. Before that he was a sales-trader with Morgan Stanley and a derivative structurer with Robert Fleming in London.
Graduated from ESCP Europe and also holder of a degree in art history, as well as an undergraduate and master’s degree in museology from Ecole du Louvre.
