
Professor Daniel Broby sits on the ISITC Europe Advisory Board.
Professor Daniel Broby is a widely respected finance academic, and a former senior figure in the fund management industry. He is a Professor at the Asian Institute of Management. He previously held the Chair of Financial Technology at Ulster University and was Director of the Centre for Financial and Regulatory Technology. In those roles, he is a thought leader and influencer.
Professor Broby’s extensive research interests revolve around the applications of FinTech in financial markets. He also conducts research into benchmarks and indices, as well as policy and regulation. His empirical work encompasses the changing nature of time series, financial business models, disintermediation, and the impact of disruptive innovation. It spans the fund management industry, the utilization of blockchain and distributed ledgers in the financial ecosystem, and Central Bank Digital Currencies.
Professor Broby has contributed to scholarly insights through peer-reviewed finance journals, including Q1 Impact Factor journals such as Financial Innovation, Financial Research Letters, and Quantitative Finance. . He has also made significant contributions in journals like the Journal of Finance and Data Science, the Journal of Financial Transformation, Internet Science, Artificial Intelligence for Capital Markets, and the Journal of Business Thought. Professor Broby, has a Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance, an M.Phil in Economics, and an MSc in Investment Analysis. He was an elected individual member of the London Stock Exchange. He is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI, an Honorary Fellow of CFA (UK), and a Senior Fellow of HEA.
